Detailed mount options description is given.List of supported APFS features is given with limitations imposed by Linux. There is also advanced troubleshooting section New concept: APFS Volume Groups. 20/10/2017 · where on the whole drive there is 1 APFS Container with 4 default volumes setup (erased, fresh GPT based default APFS) I got this hillarious message - I was buffled and had to re-read this few times: Repairing file system. Volume was successfully unmounted. Can’t repair volume because other APFS Volumes in its Container are mounted. 20/11/2019 · If the other Mac isn't using High Sierra or later, choose Mac OS Extended (Journaled). Earlier versions of macOS don't mount APFS-formatted volumes. Disk Utility tries to detect the type of storage and show the appropriate format in the Format menu. If it can't, it chooses Mac OS Extended, which works with all versions of macOS.
